Sigma Mu Mu Chapter Attends Worship Service Centered on “The Flow of Peace”

On June 29, 2025, members of Sigma Mu Mu Chapter, Third District of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc., joined together in fellowship and faith as they attended service at Healing H2O Church in Ashburn, Virginia. This spiritual gathering was part of the chapter’s ongoing commitment to uplift and fortify the brotherhood through shared worship experiences and community engagement.  The brothers were warmly welcomed by the Healing H2O congregation, and their unified presence served as a testimony to the Fraternity’s cardinal principles: Manhood, Scholarship, Perseverance, and Uplift. The chapter’s commitment to spiritual grounding is not only a reflection of its dedication to service, but also a model of leadership and unity for the wider community.

Sigma Mu Mu’s own Brother Reverend David Bonner delivered a compelling sermon that underscored how true peace is not dependent on circumstances, but is instead found in a trusting relationship with God. The sermon, titled “The Flow of Peace,” was rooted in the scripture John 14:27: “Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.”  This powerful message resonated deeply with those in attendance, emphasizing a divine peace that surpasses understanding—one that calms storms, heals wounds, and transforms hearts.  Pastor Brother Bonner encouraged listeners to let go of anxiety and embrace the peace that Christ freely offers. His words were both timely and timeless, offering solace and strength in today’s complex and often chaotic world.

As part of its continued efforts to engage in spiritually enriching experiences, Sigma Mu Mu plans to participate in future worship services throughout the region. By showing up in faith and fraternity, the chapter continues to inspire others through example—an embodiment of Omega’s cardinal principles in action.  The presence of Sigma Mu Mu at Healing H2O reflected more than tradition; it reflected the collective pursuit of purpose, peace, and power—both individually and as a brotherhood.  “When we worship together, we heal together.”
