Sigma Mu Mu Chapter Supports Souls to the Polls March & Rally in Loudoun County

On November 1, 2025, the Brothers of Sigma Mu Mu Chapter, Third District of the Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc., joined the Loudoun County NAACP for the “Souls to the Polls” March & Rally in Leesburg, Virginia.  Beginning at the Walmart Compass Creek parking lot and concluding at the Loudoun County Office of Elections, the event energized residents to exercise their right to vote during early voting.

The march drew community members, Divine Nine organizations, and civic leaders who assembled behind the NAACP banner for remarks and route instructions before proceeding to the polls. Sigma Mu Mu Brothers, wearing the Fraternity’s royal purple and old gold colors, provided a visible, disciplined presence while helping with staging and wayfinding.  Throughout the morning, Brothers engaged attendees in conversations about the importance of voting, answered basic process questions, and highlighted the convenience of early in-person voting options offered by the county.  They also encouraged participants to stay focused on the event’s nonpartisan purpose: strengthening voter participation and access. By the time the march reached the Elections Office, participants were motivated and better oriented to the day’s objective, casting ballots and sharing the message within their networks.

Sigma Mu Mu’s collaboration with the Loudoun County NAACP reflects the Chapter’s ongoing efforts to model leadership, unity, and service during critical moments for local engagement. Its participation aligns with Omega’s commitment to citizenship and social action through uplifting, community-centered service.  The Chapter will continue to answer the call for initiatives that strengthen the franchise and uplift the community.
