On December 2, 2023, Sigma Mu Mu Chapter, Third District of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc., held its annual Toys for Tots toy drive at the Walmart Super Store in Sterling, Va. Fifteen (15) bikes and 200 assorted toys were collected and donated to the charity program for distribution to needy children across the region. The Walmart Store Manager, Mr. Ahmed Nabiznada, was amazed and impressed by the number of bikes and toys that brothers collected in just a few hours. The Toys for Tots Loudoun Coordinator, Mr. Frank Holtz, explained to the relatively new store manager that Sigma Mu Mu has been supporting Toys for Tots at the store location for over 10 years, and excels at planning and executing the toy drive. Thanks to the efforts and generosity of Sigma Mu Mu brothers, many local parents who could not afford to buy toys for their children were able to provide donated toys to them. All of these children experienced the joy of Christmas with their families.  The manager of a nearby Chick-fil-A restaurant, Mr. Natto Massa, provided a large tray of nuggets with sauces to Sigma Mu Mu brothers as a good faith gesture, and asked to be involved in future endeavors. His kind gesture reflected the holiday spirit and bolstered the festive mood of the volunteers. A great time of service and fellowship was had by all.
